Dr Phoebe’s Mum Tum Boot Camp 2.0

I conceived, hatched, and executed this programme following the success of last year’s. It’s a pelvic floor rehabilitation programme to enlighten women about post partum recovery and how to prevent and correct issues emanating from pelvic floor dysfunction. These include back pain, constipation, dyspareunia, stress/urge incontinence, amongst others.

This time, I opened the programme to more women. Including some who haven’t yet had children and wanted to be forearmed with knowledge, 1100 women signed up to the programme, mostly from developing countries.

I worked with the same team from last year: pelvic floor therapist Tarn Jones, a GP/ mind coach Dr Nkiru Oluwatosin, and a dietitian Olajumoke Osunsanya. Each provided a free session including Q&A. I also decided to sponsor some women to get a fully funded rehabilitation programme. I chose MUTU system because it’s highly recommended, backed by research, and is on the NHS apps library. It also provides longterm access to the modules. I sourced for funds for about three months, mostly from friends. My target was £1000 and I was able to raise just over £700. I purchased this programme for eight women.

From the feedback, 100% of participants thought the programme was well organised and would recommend it. 75% felt they would be better prepared for future pregnancies.
